Solar tubes are the absorber of the solar water heater. They absorb solar energy converting it into heat for use in water heating. Solar tubes are also referred to as evacuated tubes, as the space between the two glass layers is evacuated to form a vacuum. Solar tubes have already been used for years in Germany, Canada, China and the UK. "Twin-glass tube" technology is chosen for its reliability, performance and low manufacturing cost.

Each solar tube consists of two glass tubes made from extremely strong borosilicate glass. The outer tube is transparent allowing light rays to pass through with minimal reflection. The inner tube is coated with a special selective coating (Al-N/Al), which features excellent solar radiation absorption and minimal reflection properties.

The system is highly efficient with excellent absorption (>93%) and minimum emittance (<6%).

The average temperature attained is around 55 to 60 degrees during the cold months. Installation procedure is very simple and is relatively maintenance free. It is affordable with only one time cost.

              The storage tank is made of food grade stainless steel SUS 304 2B and has a

           Strong PUF insulation, which allows the water to retain heat for as long as 60 -“90 hrs.

             There is an electrical backup for non sun shine days. On a foggy day or rainy day the water is heated by the infra red radiations in the atmosphere to a certain level beyond which it can be heated with the electrical back up.

             The entire system is controlled by an automatic control panel, which helps monitoring easy as it indicates the level and temperature of water at any given point. No cold water flows into the tank unless 80 % of the hot water at the indicated temperature is drawn out. This is a very important feature as it prevents mixing of cold water in the tank.  

             Suitable for areas with hard water as there is no scaling in the glass tubes.
